Project overview
A regional distribution business operating a mixed fleet of 30 vehicles — Luton vans, 18-tonne curtain-siders and management cars — approached us to bring their branding under control. Livery had been added piecemeal over several years by different suppliers, so colours, logo sizes and contact details varied from vehicle to vehicle. With a brand refresh underway, they wanted every vehicle to look like part of one professional, recognisable fleet.
Services delivered

- Bespoke livery design with per-vehicle proofs
- Full and partial cast-vinyl wraps
- Contour-cut & reflective graphics
- Chapter 8 chevron kits

What we had to solve
The fleet could not simply be taken off the road. Vehicles earn their keep daily, so we needed a rollout that wrapped two vehicles per day without disrupting deliveries. The mix of vehicle types meant no single template would fit — curtain-sider ribs, van body swages and curved cab panels all behave differently — and the new brand artwork was still being finalised as the first vehicles came in.
How we delivered
We started with a full fleet survey, photographing and measuring every vehicle so each one could be templated accurately. Our design team built a master livery concept and then adapted it into vehicle-specific layouts, supplying digital proofs and a scaled visual for each type before anything went to print. Graphics were printed on cast wrapping vinyl and laminated for durability, then installed at our Grimsby facility on a rolling two-a-day schedule so the fleet kept running throughout.
Materials & products
- Cast wrapping vinyl (conformable, 7-year exterior durability)
- Gloss anti-UV overlaminate to protect against fading and washing
- Contour-cut reflective graphics for low-light visibility
- Chapter 8 chevron kits on rigid vehicles for highway compliance
What we achieved
Inside three weeks the entire fleet carried one consistent, sharp identity — the same colours, logo placement and contact details on every vehicle, from cars to curtain-siders. The client now has a rolling national advertisement that reinforces their brand on every journey, plus a set of approved livery templates so any new vehicle can be matched exactly. The laminated cast vinyl keeps that finish looking new for years, not months.
“For the first time our fleet actually looks like a fleet. The rollout was planned around our delivery schedule so we never lost a vehicle for long, and every van that comes back from Total Signs looks identical to the last. It has completely lifted how professional we appear on the road.”
